The Plot to Blow Up the Eiffel Tower was a punk band from San Diego. They formed in 2001, released 5 records and disbanded in October 2006. The band was Brandon Welchoz, Chuck Rowell, Willy Key Graves & Brian Hill. Dan Maier also played Bass on their earlier records.
The bands early sound incorporated jazz / swing influences with straight-up punk rock, evolving into full-on hardcore by the time Love in The Facist Brothel was released. Shortly before they announced they we’re calling it a day in 2006 the bands sound had began to evolve into a more Garage Punk-esque sound as is evident on their final song: INRI. Future releases by Crocodiles (Brandon & Chuck’s new band) took this sound forward. Brian currently drums for The Soft Pack.
On 15th September 2008, Willy sadly passed away.
